Potafiori, the Aperitif with Flowers in Milan

The meal has always been recognized as the convivial moment par excellence. Childhood memories are said to be built around the table, loves are born or opportunities for success and business are created. In my mind the panzerotti at my grandmother's house as a child, the first date with my boyfriend and the most fascinating work experiences have an intense and precise perfume. Today I seek experiences of flavors and well-being out of passion, in places that I like to recommend. DaRò Places are born from the desire to share "the beautiful, the good and the right" would say Carlo Petrini. These are activities that have conquered me for the pleasure of food, the beauty of the place, the creative idea or the unstoppable passion of the owners most of the time driven by the love for what they do more than by the desire for success. DaRò Places are "rare gems": telling them, promoting them and inviting you to go is my way of approaching the culture of eating well, outside the professional study as a nutritionist.

If you are in Milan, looking for a wonderful place to spend the evening, you should go to Potafiori, in via Solasco near Porta Romana. Potafiori is the Bistrot dei fiori, born from the vision of Rossella Piccinni, successful songwriter. Potafiori is a magical place that has its successful ingredients in the beauty of the interiors full of flowers, good food and refined music. The appetizers include rice paper tapas, Italian beef futomaki and beef kibbeh with red onion, whimsical but very particular. For the glass, I followed Rossella's advice, identified by the little heart on the menu. Papavero is a delicious cocktail based on Franciacorta, cassis cream, sugar cube and bergamot essence. I will return to Potafiori every time I feel the pleasant need to surround myself with something beautiful and magical. Welcoming staff is also part of the experience. The "Madame" and the garlic flower given to me at the end of the evening remind me of the kindness of the men of the past and I liked it very much.
