Santa Lucia Maccarese

Santa Lucia Maccarese

Santa Lucia was born in the heart of the Roman Littoral Nature Reserve, one of the gems of the national protected area system This structure, which includes rooms, suites and a restaurant, was designed to offer a body, aesthetic and psychological experience of nature and is completely green.

The kitchen celebrates the encounter between the culinary art of Maccarese and those of the settlers who arrived here for reclamation businesses, starting from the 19th century. Rich in historical influences, refined and homely at the same time, it mixes the vaccine and pastoral vocation of the territory with the elaborate flavors of Venetian cuisine and the more earthly ones of Romagna.

A fusion of land, game and peasant soups, it is a hymn to seasonality, thanks to a local tradition that has always valued the spontaneous production of the land. Alongside the local excellences, on the table you will find the first fruits from the garden and fresh fruit from the pomarium, together with a wide choice of products processed and packaged on the spot, from jams to spirits, from pickles to limoncelli, up to a artisan biscuits.

The wine list offers the best of the native vines of the area with some forays into international labels.
