L’Antica Dolceria Bonajuto

It was 1880 when Francesco Bonajuto opened his small confectionery shop in Modica. Today his precious confectionery shop is still there where it was founded, as if to testify the link with the Sicilian city. Just as the ancient flavors remain intact, which today are refined to reinterpretations and experiments.

For more than 150 years, chocolate has been handcrafted here and traditional Modican sweets and nougat are created.Tasting the sweets of Antica Dolceria Bonajuto means encountering ancient flavors, sometimes unknown, which the Bonajuto family has preserved for six generations and which every day reproduces in its laboratories with passion and dedication.

The value of the Antica Dolceria Bonajuto was certified by Eurispes which in 2008 included the confectionery among the 100 excellences of Italy.
